Where are all the jobs?

You do not have to look far to realize that many of the good jobs are gone.  Many US jobs have been shipped overseas for over a decade now, and at this point, we do not know what it will take to get our economy back on track.  The effects are so devastating that people that we used to recognize as stylish, chic, and deeply middle class, are now burning through their 401K’s, pensions, and home equity lines just to stay afloat.

On top of this, many of our companies are still laying off, downsizing, and skeptical about the future of their businesses.  This is probably the worst I have seen it in my lifetime.  With this being said, do not drop your head, or feel like you have been victimized. Now is the time to sharpen your skills set, go back to school and learn a trade or work on your degree.

What about starting an internet company with a friend or family member?  Now is the time to think outside the box, and really get creative about establishing a financial foundation that is suitable for you and your family.  As we go into the holiday season, focus on what you can do to lower your expenses, strengthen your skills, and get off to a good start in 2010.

Success is your only option if you asks the right people.  This means do not look at the people who have it worse than you, and make yourself feel better, but instead look at individuals like Anthony Robbins, Les Brown, Ryan Seacrest, and Donald Trump.  Look at these people because even when the times are bad, these individuals find a way to keep a positive message, and try to bring the best out of everyone.

Just because we fall, that does not mean we have to stay down.  In fact, there is no better time for us to stand up, and get back on our feet.  Believe in Yourself, Time and time again, and in time, you will win!  ~Larryspeaks.com

What is a society without Order?

What is a society without order?  Is it functioning?  Is it self-governing?  Is it better for the masses?  My thought is that a society without order is purely Chaos.  It is mass confusion, hysteria, and dangerous.  I envision a 7 lane highway with no lines, signs, or sense of direction.  How long will each person travel before the devastation takes place?  You see, as unjust as many of the rules seem to be, and as unfair as some of the application of these rules, each organization needs to have some order.  Their is a need for some guidance, leadership, and sense of purpose if it is to succeed.  This world, as great as it is on so many levels, still lacks true definition on many others.  But on the flip side, it is this lack of definition that encourages our entrepreneurs to create the latest greatest technology, that tells the hottest young man to pursue the hottest young lady, even though he may already have one, it is this lack of definition that encourages you to think beyond the boundaries, so that you can become large in the eyes of many.  There are some advantages to living a life without boundaries, but like everything else, there still must be moderation or else we have Chaos.  So whether you see the glass as half full or half empty, the good thing is that you can see the glass, and what may come of it if it is not protected, or what it can become if you imagine it to be so much more!!  What are your thoughts?

Find a Great Job Now

For well over a year now, the number of jobless claims have risen, with no end in sight.  At one point things seemed to get better, but just then, the unemployment rate continued to rise, and foreclosures and lack of medical coverage often followed.  All these things, plus not having a means to pay your bills can be a real drag, mentally and physically.  It is for these reasons that I wrote the new book “How to Make It. Guide to Getting a Great job in Any Economy”.  I feel that through these tips and lessons, you can vastly improve your chances of getting hired, and do it much quicker because you will now be armed with what recruiters/companies are looking for.  How to effectively create your resume, how to dress for success, and what to say in the interview, plus much much more.  It’s all in there.  This is not your typical Donald Trump, Kiyosaki, Anthony Roberts, Les Brown, or Jack Canfield type of motivational book.  These are actual practices that You can start using Today, in order to get back on the money train.  Check it out, and may you experience all the success this world has to offer.  This book is not available in stores, and can only be found at  www.larryspeaks.com

Through the Fire

In this life, we all face challenges. No one is exempt from hardship, and no one should want to be. It is through these hardships that we find out who we really are, what we can withstand, and how great we can truly become. Sometimes to become the best, we have to go through the fire. Are you fireproof? Meaning, you know the fire will come, but that you have the power to withstand it.

What is Love?

What is love? Is it the fairy tale romances that Hollywood does such a good job of selling? Or is it more than that? Is there some key ingredient that we are missing? Love is great, but when it’s bad, is that considered love too, or something else? Let the world know your thoughts, it’s important, as you might have the answer so many are looking for!

Living for the Weekend

For the longest time many of us have lived for the weekend. I remember that as a young man I would often resent Sundays, simply because we had school the next day. Now, in my older, some what wiser years I have learned to appreciate every day. It is a gift from the Heavens just to Breathe, so now I have grown to wake up everyday praising the “Most High”. With the balance between life and death being so fragile, be thankful for each and every second that you are able to walk the Earth, because who knows when God will stop this World from Spinning!! With all that said, Enjoy your Weekend! ~Larry J.

The First Blog

Here I am happy to be writing on my new Blog, and then news breaks, that Michael Jackson-The King of Pop is dead. At less than 51 years of age, Michael has passed. Many have lived by the phrase, that “tomorrow isn’t promised”, but how many truly believed it? This game of life is a roller coaster ride, and we must make the best out of everyday, rain, sleet, or shine. What’s your take?
